Troubleshooting the “Run” Button Glitch in Google AI Studio’s Gemini Feature

The Frustrations of a Greying “Run” Button

Despite my attempts to resolve this by switching models or toggling the tool settings, nothing seems to work consistently. Although refreshing the page can sometimes restore functionality, it often leads to the loss of ongoing chats since they aren’t saved in the chat history. This adds another layer of frustration, as losing a conversation can be considerably disheartening, especially when progress is lost.

A Growing Concern

Recently, this issue has become increasingly problematic, particularly noticeable in new chats where the “Run” button often greys out right after the first prompt.
