My supervisor, who seems skeptical of AI technology, pulled me aside to express concerns that my use of these tools might be making the team “look bad.” He emphasized that “real work takes time,” implying that relying on AI might be seen as cutting corners.
The conversation has left a strange atmosphere in the office, with my boss framing my productivity boost as a form of “cheating.” I believe I am simply adopting smarter methods to perform my responsibilities more effectively. Why should leveraging technology be viewed negatively? After all, the goal of tools like AI is to enhance our capabilities, not replace genuine effort.
Utilizing AI to manage tasks is not about outsourcing my job; it’s about working smarter, not harder.
