Let me clarify my perspective. I’m not suggesting using AI to generate entire novels from a simple prompt. Instead, I envision a collaborative process where the author maintains full control of the story, while AI serves as a helpful tool for enhancing descriptions—be it locations, character movements, or unique features. The goal isn’t to rely solely on AI but to leverage it for enriching language, expanding vocabulary, and refining sentences.
This raises an interesting point—would a book created through such a method be identified as AI-assisted or flagged as generated content?
For those of us for whom English isn’t a native language—despite years of reading and gaining proficiency—the challenge often lies in employing complex vocabulary or mastering nuanced storytelling techniques like “show, don’t tell.” While I wouldn’t advocate for using AI in every aspect of writing indefinitely, I see its value as a stepping stone. It can help authors express ideas more vividly until they build enough confidence and language skills to articulate their thoughts naturally.
