Discovering AI: My Mom’s First Encounter with ChatGPT
Recently, I had the delightful experience of introducing my mother to ChatGPT on her Chromebook. At nearly 80 years old, she has seen countless advancements in technology, but this was something entirely different.
Her reaction was priceless. After our demonstration, she was so amazed by the capabilities of this AI that she immediately reached for her phone to share the news with her sister! It was heartwarming to witness her excitement and curiosity about how technology continues to evolve.
Watching her engage with AI prompted a meaningful conversation about the role of technology in our lives, and how tools like ChatGPT can make information more accessible and spark creativity in ways she had never imagined.
This encounter reminded me of the importance of sharing new experiences across generations, as well as the joy that comes from learning something new, no matter your age. Technology may seem daunting at times, but moments like these show just how accessible and beneficial it can be!
