Encountering Challenges with Google Gemini’s Voice Commands: Seeking Solutions
As a long-time user of Google’s voice assistant feature, I’ve come to appreciate its functionality and convenience, particularly while driving. However, after spending some time exploring the new capabilities of Google Gemini, I’ve encountered a significant concern that I’d like to discuss.
One of the most appealing aspects of voice-activated technology is its ability to provide quick and straightforward answers, especially when we’re on the go. Yet, I’ve noticed that Gemini tends to offer extensive and elaborate responses, even when I’m only looking for a brief piece of information. While I understand the desire to provide detailed answers, sometimes all I need is a succinct reply.
In the past, when Google would go on lengthier tangents than necessary, I could simply request, “Hey Google, shut up,” to regain control of the conversation. Unfortunately, that prompt doesn’t seem to work with Gemini, leaving me looking for alternative solutions.
Has anyone else experienced similar frustrations with Gemini? If so, do you have suggestions on how to adjust the response length or perhaps share feedback with the developers to address this issue? Your thoughts and ideas would be greatly appreciated as we navigate this transition together.
