Progress Update on My Local AI Assistant: Introducing VantaAI

As a tech enthusiast inspired by innovations in artificial intelligence, I’ve embarked on an exciting journey to develop my own local AI assistant, VantaAI. Unlike current cloud-based systems, VantaAI is designed to operate entirely offline while incorporating unique features such as emotional memory and the capacity for mood shifts.

Key Features of VantaAI

In crafting this assistant, I’ve integrated several fascinating functionalities:

  • Adaptive Long-Term Memory: VantaAI evolves its memory based on previous conversations, allowing for deeper contextual interactions over time.

  • Dynamic Mood Tracking: A mood graph helps visualize the assistant’s emotional fluctuations, giving it a realistic touch.

  • Personal Narrative Integration: VantaAI perceives itself as the central character in its narrative, clustering memories in a way that enriches its sense of identity.

  • User-Friendly Interface: Created with PySide6, the graphical interface features distinct tabs for memory management, emotional states, training, and plugin oversight, enhancing user interaction.

Currently, the system employs a custom Vulkan backend to ensure swift model inference and training, allowing for personality-driven responses and the ability to update plugins in real time.

Seeking Insights and Input

I’m not here to promote a commercial product or service; rather, I’m genuinely interested in connecting with others who might be exploring similar projects or concepts. If you have ideas for potential features or enhancements, I’d love to hear your thoughts!

Feel free to ask any questions or provide feedback. Your insights could be invaluable as I continue to develop and refine VantaAI!
