The Reality of AI-Generated Content: Is It Truly Engaging?

In recent years, the integration of artificial intelligence in content creation has sparked considerable discussion among marketers and content creators alike. As someone who has been exploring AI tools for generating content, particularly with platforms like HeyGen and Sora, I’ve encountered mixed results—leading me to question the effectiveness of these technologies.

I’ve found that the voiceovers produced often lack the dynamism that engages audiences, and the animations can sometimes appear quite unsettling. These issues make me wonder: Is anyone truly experiencing good engagement levels with AI-generated content, or are we witnessing a technology that still has a long way to go?

While there seems to be a growing buzz around AI tools, the practical applications and outcomes can vary significantly. I’m eager to learn from others who have ventured down this path. Are there particular platforms that have yielded positive results for you? Or do you find yourself facing similar challenges?

As the landscape of content creation continues to evolve, it’s important to share insights and experiences. I invite readers to share their thoughts and recommendations as we navigate the future of AI in content creation together. What has your experience been? Have you found successes that could illuminate a path forward?

AI Voiceover is pretty hopeless at the moment. AI content in general (in terms of text) generates traffic from the Bing based engines (so not very much) but Google are wise to it, so you have to give your AI a BIG personality in order to get past their detection systems. I usually get the AI to be a foreign entity (in terms of Ethnicity or Nationality) to the site in question to make sure that the international nature of the Internet helps me confuse the Google AIs into believing the content is naturally derived.

In my experience – and this is obviously a transient matter as SERPs evolve constantly. The Bing and associated engines (Ecosia, Yahoo, DuckDuck etc.) are suseptible to static text content generated by ChatGPT but the Google SERP is not. You can make as much average content as you like but Google will not care. if you ask questions manually and make them relevant then Google willl care. Even if you choose a subject as saturated as SEO Google will get you some attention. The thing is that this is not necessarily a way to get engagement. The question is, what do you expect them to engage with? The best content is video content. If you can make an engaging video then you are going to get attention. End of story.
