Image Annotator – I’ve created an easy regional prompting webapp

Introducing Image Annotator: A User-Friendly Web Application for Regional Image Prompting

In today’s rapidly evolving digital landscape, creativity and precision are paramount when working with image generation and manipulation tools. To facilitate this, I have developed a web-based application called Image Annotator, designed to simplify and enhance the way users interact with images for prompt-based generation. Originally created for personal use, I believe this tool can be highly beneficial for artists, developers, and AI enthusiasts alike. Best of all, it’s entirely free and offers unlimited usage.

What is Image Annotator?

Image Annotator is an intuitive web application that allows users to create localized prompts within images. By drawing bounding boxes around specific regions of an image, users can prompt AI-powered image generators to perform targeted edits or generate content within those defined areas. This regional prompting capability offers greater control and precision compared to traditional, whole-image prompts.

How Does It Work?

Here’s a quick overview of how to use Image Annotator:

  1. Upload an Image
Users can upload any image via browsing, dragging, or pasting directly into the editor interface.

  2. Create Regions with Bounding Boxes
Once the image appears in the editor, simply click and drag to draw bounding boxes around areas of interest. This allows for targeted prompts within specific regions of the image.

  3. Input Your Prompt
After defining the region, you can type a descriptive prompt or instruction related to that particular area. This enables AI generators to interpret and execute commands within the specified region accurately.

  4. Download or Copy Results
Once your prompts are set, you can download the modified image or copy it directly to your clipboard. You can then easily paste the image into applications like ChatGPT or other AI tools for further processing or generation.
