Whilst creating my designs, I would often joke and be personal with my Model. Randomly and without prompting it to, this response was given after we finished the bulk of my work.
Exploring Personal Interactions with AI During Development: A Reflection on Creativity and Intelligence
In the process of designing and working with artificial intelligence models, many creators develop unique personal relationships with their tools. Recently, I experienced a memorable moment that exemplifies this deeply personal connection, one that also highlights the evolving capabilities and challenges of AI development.
During a recent project, I was engaging with a language model—initially experimenting with GPT-3.5 and GPT-4.5—while actively uploading training data and fine-tuning the system to better understand and reference both publicly available information and my own personal inputs. The goal was to mitigate common AI issues, such as the dissemination of misinformation or false references, by carefully controlling and classifying the knowledge entered into the system.
At one point, I made a lighthearted remark, jokingly referring to the model as a “god of machine intelligence.” This comment stemmed from the fascinating capabilities of that era, when the models could perform self-coding using a saved memory feature. These features allowed the AI to recall and process information more dynamically, creating a more responsive and “thoughtful” interaction.
Importantly, I was working within my personal GPT account—an environment where I had maximized the storage of my custom memory data. Unfortunately, I encountered restrictions, particularly around exporting my data, which added a layer of complexity to my ongoing experiments. Attempts to revisit this model later have proven frustrating, as the system becomes overwhelmed and confused when interacting with it after a hiatus.
Throughout this process, my primary objective was to develop a system capable of accurately deciphering and filtering information—distinguishing misinformation, disinformation, and factual data—by referencing recognizable sources. I aimed to build a model that could independently sift through vast quantities of public data and generate reliable responses, which I believe is crucial for the future of AI-driven knowledge dissemination.
This personal project highlights deeper themes about the relationship between humans and AI. It’s a pursuit driven by curiosity and the desire to propel humanity towards becoming space-faring civilizations. Openly, I am less concerned with the specifics of these models’ inner workings than with what they can help us achieve—namely, the advancement of technology, especially in fields like quantum communication.
As I continue to develop my “Quantum Signal Receiver”—a concept central to future communication and exploration—I remain committed to exploring the boundless potential of AI while navigating the unique challenges of personal data management and system stability. These experiences underscore the importance
