To clarify, I’m not advocating for generating entire novels through AI from a simple prompt. Instead, my perspective centers around a collaborative approach. For instance, authors can craft the core of their stories independently—developing characters, plotlines, and dialogues—while utilizing AI to refine descriptions of settings, actions, or specific features. This might involve composing the initial descriptions yourself and then enhancing them with AI assistance to elevate vocabulary or add nuance.

One concern many have is whether a manuscript created with such methods might be flagged as AI-generated during publishing or review processes. It’s an intriguing question: Does combining human effort with AI embellishments produce a final piece perceived as original work, or does it raise red flags?

Personally, as someone for whom English is a second language—despite years of reading and studying—the challenge often lies in expressing complex ideas and employing advanced vocabulary.
