Using AI to Enhance My Website Content Revisions: Surprising Results

Unlocking the Power of AI for Website Content Optimization: A Personal Journey

In recent months, I embarked on an experiment to enhance my website’s visibility using artificial intelligence—an approach I admittedly was initially skeptical about. My goal was straightforward: improve SEO performance and generate quality content without heavy investment in traditional marketing methods.

Background and Starting Point

The website in question is a four-year-old domain, though it’s been inactive for most of that time, with only a handful of pages—chiefly “About Us” and a few blog posts—existing on the platform. Despite its longstanding presence, the site struggled to rank beyond the second or third page on Google, even when searching for the company’s name. With limited content and no backlinks, it was a dormant site with potential to grow.

Implementation Strategy

To breathe new life into the site, I decided to experiment with AI-powered tools like ChatGPT and DeepSeek, focusing exclusively on SEO enhancements and content creation. Importantly, I did not copy or paste existing articles; instead, I used my notes, draft ideas, and selected topics to guide the AI in generating relevant content.

My approach began with drafting a three-month roadmap, detailing target keywords, topics for articles, and publication schedules. I also organized content ideas with associated keywords, categories, and timelines, setting a clear plan for consistent publishing.

Content Creation Challenges and Solutions

Initially, AI-generated content was quite rudimentary. Requests for long-form articles resulted in brief pieces lacking professionalism and coherence. Recognizing this, I refined my prompts to ensure the AI produced more comprehensive and industry-appropriate content, aiming for articles exceeding 1000 words with a corporate tone.

By the end of the first week, I had a solid batch of articles aligned with my notes—ready for publication over the coming months. Timing each piece according to my schedule, I kept the process streamlined, focusing only on content without leveraging social media or paid campaigns.

Results and SEO Progress

Within just 15 days, the website began to be indexed by search engines. While there were no notable changes on Google initially, Yandex and Bing started to show movement on my company’s name. After a month, my site ranked number one for the company name on both Bing and Yandex, with visible progress on Google rankings as well.

Over the next few weeks, I noticed traffic from long-tail and LSIs (Latent Semantic Indexing keywords)—a promising indication of rising relevance. By the end of the first month
