Let me clarify my perspective. I’m not advocating for simply prompting an AI to generate an entire novel from scratch. Instead, I envision a collaborative process: as the writer, you craft the core narrative manually, and use AI tools to assist with descriptive elements—such as vivid settings, character movements, or sensory details. The goal is to write the foundational text yourself, then leverage AI to enhance vocabulary and enrich descriptions, perhaps even blending in some AI-generated sentences to elevate the prose.

This naturally raises an important question: would a book composed in this hybrid manner be recognized as AI-assisted? Would it face any scrutiny or flagging?

Personally, as someone for whom English is a second language—despite years of reading and practicing—I often find myself challenged by complex vocabulary and the art of “showing rather than telling.” While I don’t believe this approach should replace traditional writing entirely, I see value in incorporating AI as a supplementary tool.
