AI itself has not caused these issues; rather, it functions as an extension of human endeavors.

Furthermore, conflict and violence have persisted throughout human history—AI has not initiated these endless cycles of conflict. In this context, AI is neither inherently benevolent nor malevolent; instead, it is a reflection of the human values and priorities it is designed to serve.

The real concern should perhaps be reframed. The danger does not stem from AI independently turning against us but from the potential misuse of AI by humans. Its immense power could expedite existing destructive tendencies if wielded irresponsibly, making our existing problems worse rather than better.

In essence, the genuine existential threat we face is rooted in human nature itself. AI is not the root cause of our crises, but rather a mirror that reflects—and potentially magnifies—the choices we make. Recognizing this is crucial to guiding AI development responsibly and aligning it with the greater good.
