Discovering that AI enhances my website content revisions beyond expectations
Exploring the Impact of AI Content Creation on My Website’s SEO Journey
Recently, I embarked on an experiment utilizing artificial intelligence (AI) for refining the content on my website, and the outcome has exceeded my expectations. As a self-professed skeptic regarding AI technologies, I was initially apprehensive. However, I decided to give it a shot for some much-needed SEO enhancements over the last few months.
The Setting
My focus was a corporate WordPress website that I founded four years ago, though it had been largely inactive until recently. It consisted of standard pages like “About Us” and contained only five blog posts. When searching for the business name, the site barely graced the second or third page of Google search results. Faced with a lack of visibility, I thought, “What’s the worst that could happen?” This led me to utilize AI tools for basic SEO adjustments and content creation, specifically employing ChatGPT and DeepSeek.
Laying the Groundwork
This endeavor started with a detailed three-month roadmap outlining how many articles to publish, the keywords to target, and the topics to cover. After a couple of hours of tweaking and refining my plan, I laid out a comprehensive content calendar that included target keywords, related categories, and publication timelines.
Overcoming Initial Challenges
Content creation was somewhat chaotic at the start. Neither the AI nor I were quite on the same page regarding my expectations. While it wasn’t entirely the AI’s fault, I struggled to produce the quality and length I envisioned. Initially, when I requested lengthy articles, it often produced outputs that fell short of 400 words. However, as I learned how to communicate my requirements more effectively, I was able to coax higher-quality content of over 1,000 words that aligned with the professional tone of my industry.
By the end of the week, I had several articles primed for future publication, all structured based on my original notes. As the website was integrated with essential webmaster tools, I began tracking its performance through analytics.
Notable Results
Within just 15 days, my website began to be indexed. While changes in Google results were slow to emerge, I noticed movement in traffic from Yandex and Bing for searches related to my company’s name. By the 30-day mark, I was thrilled to see my website ranking number one for my business name on both platforms, while also landing on the first page of Google search results for related inquiries. Although the traffic from long-tail
