Discovering how AI transformed my website content revisions beyond expectations
Harnessing AI for Website Content Revitalization: A Journey Towards SEO Success
In recent months, I embarked on a journey to enhance my website’s content with the help of artificial intelligence. As someone initially skeptical about utilizing AI, I decided to experiment by implementing some SEO strategies on my corporate website, which had been largely inactive since its launch.
The Starting Point
The domain had been established for four years, but the website itself had only existed for one year. It consisted of just a few basic pages, including an “About Us” section, and a mere five blog articles. When searching for the company name, the website barely appeared on the second or third page of Google results. After contemplating my situation, I thought, “How much worse can it get?” so I took the plunge and started using AI for basic SEO adjustments and content creation.
My tools of choice were ChatGPT and DeepSeek. Importantly, I did not simply copy and paste existing articles for rewriting; instead, I used my notes as inspiration and had some foundational articles prepared, alongside a list of topics I wanted to explore. I chose to limit my promotional efforts to my modest Instagram account, allowing me to focus solely on refining the website’s content.
Crafting a Roadmap
To structure my efforts, I created a three-month roadmap detailing how many articles to publish, the keywords to target, and the topics to address. After a couple of hours of fine-tuning, I had a solid plan in place that included specific content topics, target keywords, categories, and publication dates.
The initial phase of content creation was rather chaotic. Neither I nor the AI had a clear vision of the desired outcome. Although the technology is powerful, it can produce short, subpar articles if not directed effectively. Over time, I learned to communicate my requirements more clearly, enabling the AI to generate more comprehensive articles in a professional tone that aligned with industry standards. By the end of the week, I had developed a suite of articles ready for publication over the next three months, all properly scheduled according to my timeline.
Observing Progress
Within 15 days, I noticed the website’s pages beginning to be indexed, albeit with minimal movement on Google. However, both Yandex and Bing started to show some activity around my company name. After 30 days, the website surged to the number one spot for my company name on both of these platforms, and it also climbed onto the first page of Google search
