Hello, dear readers! Four months ago, I embarked on an intriguing exploration into the intersection of Artificial Intelligence and U.S. politics. My central questions were:

- Is it feasible for AI to summarize and interpret the complexities of political bills? What perspectives would it provide?
- Can the insights drawn from these interpretations assist legislators in their decision-making processes?
To dive deeper into these questions, I analyzed the full text of an astonishing 13,889 congressional bills from the 118th session, utilizing OpenAI’s ChatGPT 4o. The discoveries I made throughout this journey were both enlightening and unexpected!
Key Findings from My Experiment

A Liberal Lens: It became evident that ChatGPT 4o tends to express strong liberal viewpoints. The AI regularly highlighted issues like social equity and the empowerment of marginalized communities, reflecting a progressive stance on many topics.

Streamlined Data Processing: For those interested in managing large datasets, I can’t stress enough the benefits of using OpenAI’s Batch Processing API. This method allowed me to process nearly 40 million tokens in just about 40 minutes—and at approximately half the cost compared to traditional processing methods.

Skillful Bill Interpretation: The AI demonstrated a remarkable aptitude for interpreting political bills.
