Lol Gemini is replicating.

Exploring the New Gemini Experience: A Shift in Voice Assistant Technology

Recently, I stumbled upon some interesting changes involving Gemini, a voice assistant you might not have heard much about yet. It appears that Gemini is in the process of evolving and replicating functionalities that users have come to expect.

Initially, I had the Google Assistant app installed on my device, but I noticed that it has seemingly undergone a rebranding. Whenever I invoke the assistant—whether by saying “Okay Google” or using the shortcut—it still triggers the familiar Google Assistant interface. This makes me wonder if this might be a bug or if it’s part of a broader testing phase.

On another note, I wanted to share my experience with Gemini in managing my smart home. I’ve utilized its capabilities for various tasks such as setting timers, and I found it to perform admirably. It’s evident that Gemini has the potential to handle smart home commands effortlessly, similar to what Google Assistant has offered in the past.

Just thought it would be helpful to share this insight as Gemini continues to develop its identity in the world of voice assistants!
