To bridge this gap, I have developed a dynamic platform known as POTUS Tracker—a website that provides live updates on executive actions by the President and offers concise summaries generated by Artificial Intelligence.
How It Works
POTUS Tracker seamlessly integrates multiple data sources to ensure the most timely and accurate information. It pulls data directly from the President’s public schedule, as well as from Congress.gov for legislative summaries. Notably, AI is solely employed for summarizing content; data collection remains manual and reliable.
Presidential executive orders are sourced live from the White House website. They are then processed through GPT-4o-mini, an advanced AI model, instructed to provide succinct summaries of up to 300 characters. Moreover, the platform has the capability to send push notifications straight to users’ mobile devices—perfect for those who have added the site to their home screens.
Real-Time Updates
For example, when President Trump signed an executive order designating the Houthis as a terrorist group, POTUS Tracker sprang into action. Within mere minutes, subscribers received a digest of this critical development, often well ahead of major news outlets. This speed and efficiency highlight the platform’s unique ability to deliver presidential news without delay.
Future Enhancements
Looking ahead, I am eager to enhance the platform’s functionality further. Plans are underway to implement a local AI model on the server to generate more detailed summaries. Additionally, I am exploring the possibility of categorizing presidential actions by themes such as economic, environmental, and national security issues. This categorization could provide users with insights tailored to their interests.
To ensure accuracy and reliability, warnings will be implemented for AI-generated summaries that have not been reviewed.
